Pat is the Director of Cell Culture at Fortress Biotech, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to acquiring, developing and commercializing novel pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, both within Fortress and through its subsidiary companies.  Prior to joining Fortress, Pat led a process development team and various discovery/development interdisciplinary projects within the Process Sciences Department at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA for over 10 years.  His team was primarily responsible for supporting biologics process development and supporting GMP manufacturing for early stage projects from Preclinical to Phase III.  During that time he contributed to multiple biologics programs that advanced to late-stage clinical testing and commercialization.  Prior to joining AbbVie, he worked in Technical Operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Co. for 1.5 years focusing on late stage process development.  His interests and research work encompass the relationship between process development and the resulting impact on process performance and product quality.  Pat is a frequent speaker at conferences, and has authored several, well-cited journal publications and patent filings on protein quality control.
